It's Bev here today with some last minute Mother's Day card inspiration to share with you. Looking through my stash I was inspired to get creative with Reverse Confetti Floral Gem clear stamp set.
This beautiful stamp set features a geometric floral frame which is perfectly sized to be the focal point on a card. It has plently of room inside the frame for your chosen sentiment too.
For my first card I have gone for a one layer card. I stamped the image with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and coloured with alcohol markers. The sentiment is from Mama Elephant Occasional Labels and I used my usual VersaFine Onyx Black ink to stamp it.
Next I went for a coloured card base to make this image shine and used a technique I have seen Yana Smakula use when using a coloured card base and colouring with alcohol markers.
I started out by stamping the image onto white card, again using VersaFine Clair ink. I used Mama Elephant Color Me Letters to stamp the word Mum inside and again coloured the image with alcohol markers.
Once I had finished colouring I fussy cut the image out leaving a small white border. I then used navy card to create a landscape card base and selected a navy alcohol marker as close a match to the card base to colour the border around the image. The image is then adhered to the card using foam adhesive.
Lastly for today I decided to use some of the smaller accent stamps to create a Just Because card. I used all 3 of the individual rose stamps and 2 of the 7 leaves from the set.
I started by stamping a sentiment from Concord & 9th Lots to Say stamp set and then stamped the flowers and leaves to create a corner focal point.
Again I used alcohol markers in shades of purple and green to colour the images and used a strip of purple card down the edge of my stamped layer to accentuate the purple colour scheme and add interest to the card design. I hope I have given you some inspiration to create today.
