Im using another of MFT's vault release dienamics today for an old fashioned Hello card.....
The Ring Me die is a fab chunky retro style telephone and I cut mine with some lovely teal card which is a favourite colour of mine. To add shading I found an ink in my collection that was a close match and blended darker areas around the base and handset to make the telephone look more dimensional and rubbed a tiny amount of white ink on some of the edges for highlights. I stamped the numbers from the coordinating stamp set and then assembled the pieces.
For a background, I used the Skinny stripes stencil and masked off an area at the base of the card and then blended grey ink part way up the card through the stencil. I replaced the stencil and used masking again to ink two blue lines using the same ink I'd used for the telephone shading. I finished off the background with more grey stripes and left a similar size gap at the top to the bottom.
I wanted the handset off of the phone so the ear piece lined up with the blue stripes then I could add the sentiment along those lines. I had thought about using a speech bubble but decided against it after all.
