Hello & happy Thursday.
I’m back with another festive card today and some of my favourite Concord & 9th products, Tiny Trees Turnabout, Eclectic Garden and Mistletoe Messages.
I had a basic layout in my mind and my background focus wasn’t a circle like the Eclectic Garden stamps are. So I created a rectangle mask out of copy paper. You could also use the MFT Rectangle Extraordinaire Stencil.
I then stamped the woodgrain background circle, but was sure to mask off the circle edge to the top and bottom. It is a fairly easy pattern to line up and make seamless. I used Concord & 9th Parsley to stamp it in.
I then removed the mask to stamp first the sentiment and then a cascade of trees from the Tiny Trees Turnabout. I love this simple design of tree with its rustic forest feel. I used Evergreen to stamp the trees.
To finish the design I added some gold stamped little stars, this stamp is from Mistletoe Messages. Once dry the stamped panel was foam mounted onto a Clover card base.
I’m quite pleased with this design and think it will be a ‘go to’ to mass produce a few Christmas cards for the neighbours this year.
