My friends are celebrating their silver wedding next week so I needed an appropriate anniversary card. I wanted something personal and not too fussy so decided to pair some simple silver numbers with a the colours from her wedding dress and this is where that lead me.
I started with the fabulous big outlined number dies from MFT - these are big enough to be the focus of your cards and with the outer frame you can do colour combos or as I did here keep it all one colour but the frame adds extra detail. I simply cut it from silver glitter card to say "silver wedding" without a sentiment.
For the background I masked off the centre of the card and blended 3 shades of peach to match my friends wedding dress using oxides in Tattered Rose, Saltwater Taffy and Abandoned Coral. Matching your recipients wedding colours is a really nice way to personalise your wedding and anniversary cards.
To emphasise the peach I added one simple floral element using the Flourish Frame Die set from Mama Elephant. It's a lovely elegant floral sprig with two layers for the leaf, plus a flower so very easy to put together. I layerd up 2 shades of green and some coral and popped a black gem in the centre.
That's all for today - nice and simple but hopefully effective!
Happy Crafting!
