Morning all!
I'm back with a summery card direct from the garden.
One of my favourite sets to use in the hot summer months is a true classic.
The Greetery's Print Shop Garden Goodness.
The main set contains layering stencils and detail stamps to create the pretty background (complete with strawberries). There are also coordinating layer dies to pop up the blooms, butterflies, and strawberries. And there's a bigger die that cuts out all the elements in one pass to arrange individually on your card.
Today I've used just the layer dies to add some dimension.
I selected some lovely fresh ink colours and grabbed my Shader 1+ brushes from Waffle Flower and got to work stencilling each layer.
I then cut the elements I wanted to pop up from white card and went over them with my blending brushes before stamping all the details.
Once the panel was assembled, I went digging for a sentiment that would add a nice pop of yellow without hiding too much of the pretty background I'd created.
Enter the ever-handy MFT Big Birthday Wishes stamp set (which is currently heavily reduced and won't stick around for long!).
The sentiment is white heat embossed on C9 Honeycomb cardstock, and wrapped around the panel to look like a belly band.
As a finishing touch, I added some aqua gems to the flower centres for extra pop!
Until next time, happy crafting!
