Today I am sharing a beautiful butterfly card using Altenew's Dovetails Butterflies Stamp and matching die set
To create the background panel I ink blended two distress oxide inks to give me a warm orange ombre, I covered this with a little baby powder to speed up the drying process. I then used an embossing ink to stamp the butterfly over the ink blended panel, I then sprinkled am irridescent mica powder and buffed the surface with a microfibre cloth.
I stamped two of the different butterflies from the set and added some orange ink to both. I used the coordinating dies to cut them and then layered them using a wet glue. I stamped the sentiments onto ink blended card and added a black mattt beneath.
I love how the butterflies in the background give a sense of movement but don't overpower the focal Butterfly. Will you be adding this stamp set to your crafty stash? Every crafter needs butterflies in the life afterall...
