Hope everyone is having a good week and looking forward to a crafty weekend. We've got a quick run down of what's going on here at SHC HQ with a full list of what to expect when(ish) below.
JUST ARRIVED
Brand new card lighting kits - if you want to add a little light to your projects then we have sourced the perfect kit. Each £3.95 kit contains 3 easy to use light sets with 3 led lights wired onto each set - all you need do is add a battery (we can't ship batteries with Royal Mail but the batteries can be easily picked up in bargain stores or online) One kit will allow you to light 3 cards. Here is an example of a card Tara made using the latest Christmas products from Concord and 9th along with one set of lights.
Also just made live in store this afternoon - 16 brand new dies from A Pocket Full of Happiness with some amazing new designs for Christmas and New Year. With everything from Koalas, Red Pandas and Penguins to Trains, Quilted Backgrounds, Nordic Hearts and big bold sentiments - this collection has your Christmas die cutting needs covered!
COMING SOON
There are a few releases that have already been released in the states that we are playing catch up on:
Concord and 9th and Kristina Werner.
Both collections have JUST been delivered this afternoon so we'll get it opened tonight (after Traitors obviously!) and then get it loaded to store as quickly as we can but it won't be before Sunday as Saturday is our day off to do shopping and care for an elderly relative.
Altenew
Altenew did not receive all of their new release until last Friday so ordering was delayed this month - we got our order in on Friday but it only shipped on Wednesday and is still in transit through FedEx who are slower than DHL who we prefer to use but FedEx is Altenew's default. It is currently showing end of Tuesday for arrival but hasn't updated today yet. We'll get that in store as soon as we can once it arrives. There are LOTS of restocks as well as the new release but we did not get the new card binders as they had still not arrived on Friday and we didn't want to delay our order further.
Mama Elephant
Mama Elephant have a new release on the 15th October - our order is in but again, they use slower shippers than DHL so we rarely get it in time for release day. We'll make it live as quickly as we can once it arrives.
DELAYED
Waffle Flower Crafts
Unfortunately due to an online banking verification system being down, our order failed to complete in the "wholesale order window" so we ordered just before the public release which means our order sits in a queue until they ship all their direct customer orders. We expect it will ship towards the end of next week or maybe the week after so will be very late this month. Sorry.
Lesia Zgharda
We missed the August release due to the family funeral so decided to hang on for the next release and get both together. We are assured that October's is coming very soon and will order it and August (and restocks) as soon as we see the new release drop.
Gummiapan
We have got an order pending with Gummiapan which includes a lot of restocks plus the latest releases (and a few older items that have been requested) but a lot of their staff are ill and the moment so order processing is delayed. We hope to have it in a week or so.
Purple Onion Designs
Purple Onion Designs have a new festive release coming at the end of the month. No firm date is set yet as they are still waiting on manufactuing confirmation dates which are getting trickier across the craft industry at the moment and hence why lots of our deliveries arrive late as we're working with SUCH tight turnaround deadlines from products arriving with the brands only days (or sometimes hours!) before release dates.
The Greetery
The Greetery have decided to change the way they release their festive products this year. Normally they have a large release in October and a small often gift packaging focussed one in November. This year they have decided to split these two releases into weekly product drops started next Thursday and releasing every Thursday for 6 weeks. The image below shows you the release schedule - product images will be revealed each Tuesday with blog posts on Tuesday and Wednesday each week on The Greetery's blog.
Obviously it would not make economic sense (nor would it be practical time wise) for us to order every week. So we will be doing things a little differently to The Greetery.
We will be releasing ALL the products from weeks 1-3 on Thursday 29th October and the remaining products from weeks 4-6 on Thursday 12th November. We know this is not ideal for those of you who like to pick from the whole collection, but it's the best way we can work it for you and hope we have ordered enough that weeks 1-3 don't sell out before we get weeks 4-6!
