Award Winning

Award Winning

Morning all!

I'm back today with a birthday card for a special little boy.

The perfect opportunity to try out some of the new products in the recent Confetti Encore! release from The Greetery.

And this time, the focus is on the Award Winning die set that creates a lovely dimensional prize ribbon.

I grabbed some fun patterned paper from my vintage stash to cover my cardbase and add a Crimped Frame panel as the backdrop to the ribbon.

Then it was time to get cutting and assembling the Award Winning dies.

I cut the rosette and tails from Blueberry Concord & 9th cardstock, using my dark blue blending brush to add some contrast between the layers.

I cut the zigzag circle from dark blue glitter cardstock as a backdrop to the striped circle.

The Bold Numbers from The Greetery are the perfect size to fit inside that circle and once the ribbon was assembled, there was enough space to add some smaller sentiments with the Sentiment Suite Birthday stamps and coordinating Sentiment Suite Basics dies.

As a finishing touch, I cut some little stars from sparkly silver glitter cardstock and added a contrasting enamel dot to that Happy Birthday sentiment so it stands out a little more.

I'm definitely looking forward to using this die in future with the Inflated Sentiments stamps from the new release, plus wouldn't it make a cool set of bunting with letters inside each rosette - in rainbow colours for extra pop?

Until next time, happy crafting!
