Birthday Rose

Birthday Rose

Morning! Deborah here today. I’ve a birthday card to share:

This is for Tara – it was her birthday on Monday, and while the card should have arrived by now, it was most certainly late – sorry boss!! Hope you had a fantastic day.

I got the colour inspiration from the current Color Hues challenge – orange and brown. I made the note card from orange card in my stash. I used a couple of dies from Concord & 9th for the front white panel. The Quilted Card Front die to cut the quilt pattern into a piece of white card, and the pinked edge die from C&9 Confetti Card die set to cut out the panel. I adhered the panel to the front of the note card. I stamped ‘happy birthday’ using stamps from Altenew’s Birthday Builder stamp set in the corner of the panel. Next, I stamped Concord & 9th’s Painted Rose outline image onto water colour card in Versamark ink and embossed with Lawn Fawn’s gold embossing powder. I spritzed the image with water and used a brush to add several shades of orange and brown ink to the flower and allowed it to dry. Once dry, I fussy cut out the rose, spritzed it with a shimmer spray and used dimensional pads to adhere it to the note card.

Inside the card, I cut another piece of white card. I stamped the outline rose image again this time with a pale orange ink. I added a couple of birthday greetings from Avery Elle’s Inside Birthday Greetings stamp set – in brown and deep orange.

That’s it from me today. See you again next week.

Deborah, x
