Bright Christmas

Bright Christmas

Good morning! Last week I promised you a Christmas card and here it is:

I used the Snowfall Card Front die to cut the pattern into a piece of white card. I trimmed the panel to 4” x 5¼”, blended bright pink ink onto the snowflakes and edged the panel with a pink marker. I adhered the panel to the front of a US A2 note card. I scribbled three shades of pink water-based felt pens (this set from Altenew would give a similar effect) onto a piece of scrap watercolour card, spritzed with water and allowed the inks to blend. I used ‘Holly Jolly’ from Festive Phrases dies as it has a large shadow layer, which I cut from the pink watercolour card, and two separate words, which I die cut from glossy black card. I added the words to the shadow layer and adhered the whole piece to the front of the card.

On the white panel inside the card, I stamped a greeting and stamped a cute Christmas tree in grey and pink.

This card came together quickly and is easy to make, so would be a good one to mass produce. I’ll simply change the colours and the focal sentiment.

That’s all for now. See you next week.
