Caffeine Overload

Caffeine Overload

Good Morning! I've gone slightly overboard on coffee themed cards today - that's because I have lots of stamp sets featuring coffee and I decided to get them out to play. I'll start with a clean, simple birthday card.

I guess that by now most of you know that I love mixing stamps sets from different companies. This works very well, especially when you have as many coffee themed stamps sets as I do :) I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch as the basis for this card, although I did flip it. In the MFT Whimsical Greetings set there are some fun patterned borders and I used them to create the stripes. The coffee cup and saucer, coffee pattern and greeting all come from Lil Inkers Latte Love. In the set there's a solid cup, which I used here, along with an outline image that you can colour to fit your design. There are also lots of different foam patterns.

Inside is just as clean and simple. I used a fun scripty greeting and a glimpse of another coffee cup and foam. My next card has a Christmas holiday theme.

I used the sentiment coffee mug image from Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tags. I stamped the mug, cream topping and label and used the matching dies to cut out the images. The set is called Coffee Cup Tags as the finished coffee mugs are the perfect size to make tags for your gifts, but I've used my coffee mug as the main feature on the card. I used some design paper from my stash for the card base, matching the ink I used on the image to one of the papers and finished with a holly sprig that I had on my desk.

On the inside, I cut a mat layer of the aqua design paper and on the white panel I stamped the other coffee mug image, added a different lid and the little sprig of holly that comes in the stamp set. I finished by adding a fun sentiment from Lil Inkers Coffee Cozy. There are lots of fun sentiments in this set. I was on a bit of a roll and made another project.

When I get gift cards from various companies, I like to give them in a card. And if that gift card happens to be from a coffee shop (there are several about), then I think it's fun if the card is coffee mug shaped! I used the Waffle Flower Coffee Cup Die to create this card. It is really easy to make, but if you need any assistance there's a super video at Waffle Flower that shows how to use the die.

I had fun decorating both sides of the mug. For the front I used a sentiment from Lil Inkers Coffee Talk 2 - so many fun and bold sentiments. I added some little coffee beans around the sentiment - they came from Sugar Pea Designs The Perfect Blend. Again, this set is full of fun coffee related sentiments and some cute images too. On the back of the mug I used the check box image from the matching Waffle Flower Coffee Cup Sentiments. When I send the card out I'll tick the appropriate box.

As well as cutting out the mug holder, the Waffle Flower Coffee Cup Die cuts out the insert, and cuts tabs so that you can easily add your gift card. I kept this really simple and added a sentiment from the Waffle Flower Coffee Cup Sentiments

As you can see, I had a great time making these cards. Thanks so much for stopping by today. Keep safe and I'll see you again next week.
