Calendar Page

Morning all! Just for a change I don’t have a card to share with you today. I have a picture from my calendar. A couple of years ago I made my own desk calendar from scratch, and I wanted to do the same last year, but ran out of time. So, in December, I purchased an A4 hanging calendar with a blank space above each month. As the year has gone by I’ve decorated each panel using stamps, stencils, and dies from my craft stash.

This is my page for June – I’ve masked the details for the month – not too much going on at present! I celebrated my birthday on 2^nd June, and I tend to continue it through the month. So, I used birthday as the theme. All the stamps used come from Concord & 9th’s fabulous Yay for Birthdays stamp set.

I stamped each balloon with a different colour to create an arch of balloons. In the space, I stamped the two-step word ‘Yay’ using pink and yellow inks, and where they overlap a bit, I get orange dots! I stamped the word ‘birthday’ in bright pink. I finished the front by drawing in the balloon strings and the word ‘my’ with a fine black marker pen.

I have to be honest; June is a very busy month for family and friends birthdays too. While you can’t see the calendar space – it is full of other June birthdays! I've really enjoyed working on my calendar and I think that next year I'll be making some for family and friends as gifts.
