Christmas in May

Christmas in May

Hey stampers, Anni here!

I switched post days with Deborah. So I am sharing a card on Wednesday. And it is a Christmas card. A Christmas card? We are all waiting for summer to begin you might say. And you are right! But I challenge myself to make a Christmas card each month. To be honest I am a little bit behind, this is only my third Christmas card for this year. But it is way to start.

I love Christmas card and especially Santas and snowmen - I can hardly resist when I see them in a set. My Favorite Things' 'Tis the Season is just right up my alley.

As I am still in a kind of no line colouring fever I stamped again with a light ink. For the colouring I used Distress Inks as watercolours and added some details and shadows with coloured pencils. To cut out the images there are coordinating dies avaiable.

Then I created a background for my little scene by inkblending some Distress Oxide inks onto the paper. I added spritzer of water, white gesso and Lawn Fawn's Liquid Stardust. From this panel I die cut Lil'Inker Designs' Stitched Mats: Rectangles.

All there was left to do was to assemble the card.

So now let me know: Do you make Christmas cards all year long or do you start last minute?

Thanks for stopping by and have a crafty weekend. Stay healthy!

Anni
