Creating an Interactive Slimline card - Whoosh Kites

Hey there, Terri here! Today I am showing how to incorporate the Give it a Whirl Die Set into a scene on a Slimline card.

I start by stamping all of the images from Whoosh Kites Stamp Set onto 80lb super smooth cradstock using an alcohol friendly ink, I then colour the images with my markers, add white gel pen higlights and cut them out using the Whoosh Kites Die Set.

Next we move on to the interactive element.  I heat embossed the Give it a Whirl Friends Stamp Set onto 110lb white cardstock. I then ink blended over the top using a yellow, pink and blue pigment ink. I cut this using the Give it a Whirl Scalloped Add On Die Set.  On another piece of 100lb card I ink blended in the same colours and cut out the smaller interactive circle piece from the Give it a Whirl Die Set. I cut one of the grassy hills and added this to the bottom and used some of my die cut images to create a little scene.

I added some patterned paper to a slimline card base and then added a grass section using the Grassy Hillside Border Dies. I pieced together the Give it a Whirl interactive section using the Lawn Fawn YouTube video for instructions! I added 3D Foam Strips from Scrapbook Adhesives to the reverse, as shown in the video, these are sized perfectly for this die set. I then added the Give it a Whirl into the centre of my card.

Using all of the die cut images I started to layout a scene, shifting images until it looked like it all made a cohesive scene. I added the mide with foam pads for added height and all other images were adhered with glue. I used some of the small stamps from Whoosh Kites Stamp Set to add the fun little words around the kites. I also added a few hearts. I thought it looked really sweet to add faces to the clouds on the interactive section of the card. To complete the card I added some glitter glue to some of the die cut elements.

I am really pleased with how this card turned out, making sure that the scene was incorporated onto the interactive element, makes the whole card feel cohesive. Thank you for stopping by today.
