Elegant Birthday

Elegant Birthday

Good morning, Happy New Year! I hope you all had an enjoyable holiday period and are now getting back to your usual routine. I must admit that I do like getting thing back to ‘normal’ at our house. This morning I’ve an elegant birthday card to share with you.

I used a mixture of products to make the card. First, I cut a piece of gold paper slightly smaller than the card and adhered it to the front of an A2 note card. Next, I used Altenew’s Radial Circles Cover die to cut the dotty panel for the front of the card. After removing the little circles from the die, I used my pink blending brush – without adding any additional ink – to blend ink from the central circle to the edges of the panel. I added a birthday greeting in black ink to the centre circle. I adhered the completed panel to the note card and finished by adding a simple pink flower gem below the greeting.

Inside the card, I cut a piece of the gold paper for a mat layer. I cut a piece of white card and lightly brushed on pink ink around the edges of the card. I added a fun birthday greeting in black and called the card done. This card is very quick to make. I have lots more ideas for the radial circle die!

That’s all from me today. See you again next week.

Regards, Deborah, x
