Floral Birthday

Hello! Deborah here with you today – for the last day of June! I have a pretty birthday card to share today. I’ve used products from Concord & 9th. I was going through my stash last week and I found Concord & 9th’s Everyday Tintables Card Pack. This is a super pack of card with four designs in white-on-white card (4 of each design). Each card measures 4¾” x 6”, so you can colour them how you like and then cut them to size.

I picked the pretty arches background and used pink, yellow and green dye inks to blend over the background and reveal the design. I cut the panel to 3¾” x 5” and layered it onto a black piece of card slightly bigger and adhered to the front of an A2 (USA size card) card. Next, I used my stamp positioner and stamped the pretty flowers from Type Talk onto white card – once at the top of the panel and again at the bottom. I removed the panel from the positioner, coloured with Copic markers, returned the panel to the positioner, and stamped with Versafine black ink and heat embossed with clear powder. I used Concord & 9th’s Type Talk die to cut out the flowers. I used the Everyday Circles die set to cut out the circle – and was surprised to find that it cut a thin border frame too. I cut another circle in black so that I could use a thin black frame on the card. I used the stitched starburst from Everyday Circles to add some detail to the bottom of the circle. I cut the word ‘happy’ with C&9’s Birthday die set using some green glitter paper from C&9 Summer Glitter Pack. I finished the centre circle by stamping the word ‘birthday’ in black ink. This stamp is one of the words from Concord & 9th’s All the Birthdays stamp set. I adhered the flowers to the card, put the circle on top of that and finished by adding the thin black circular frame.

Inside the card, I cut a mat layer of black card. On the white panel, I added a couple of strips of the tintable card to each side and finished the panel by adding a greeting and some dots, both from C&9’s Type Talk stamp set.

This card is for my mother-in-law, it’s her birthday tomorrow. Several of the items I’ve used on today’s card have been reduced in the shop – do check them out. Have fun. See you next week.
