Gold and Silver

Gold and Silver

Hi! This post has been prepared in advance as I had surgery last week. So, I’m keeping things brief too! Before you all shout, I know it’s a Christmas card, but I like making them! I used Concord & 9th’s Yuletide Ornament stamp set and dies for this card.

I stamped the ornament on watercolour card in Versamark ink and heat embossed with silver powder. I coloured the image with gold watercolour paints, like the Gansai Tambi set. Once dry, I used the matching die to cut out the ornament and adhered it flat to a US A2 size note card. I used the die to cut out a silver holographic bow and added that to the ornament. I finished the front of the card by stamping a simple greeting in Versamark, heat embossing with silver powder, cutting it out with the matching die and adding to the card. Both the bow and sentiment are layered onto blank die cuts for dimension. I did decorate the inside, but I forgot to take a photo!

That’s all from me today. See you again next week.
