Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday

Good morning. Deborah here with you today. This post has been prepared in advance as I don’t want to be late again! I made today’s card for my sister-in-law. She and Jonathan both had their birthday last Saturday. So, while I was full of energy last week, I not only made Jonathan’s card, but Charlotte’s too.

I’ve used products from several companies to make this pretty pastel birthday card. I started by cutting some masking paper with the Big Flower Cover plate from Reverse Confetti. I added it to the front of a white A2 note card and then lightly blended a rainbow of inks over the homemade stencil. I was delighted with the pretty blended flowers when I removed the mask. I used my stamp positioner to stamp Oddball Jane Austen onto white card. I removed the image and coloured with Copic markers. I returned the image, restamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and then heat embossed with clear powder. I fussy cut out the finished image. I used dimensional pads to adhere Jane to the card front. I finished the front with a simple birthday greeting in black, some gems and sparkle on the dress and hat.

For the inside, I cut two pieces of white card. One the larger piece I lightly blended the rainbow of inks around the edge of the card to create a soft pastel border. On the smaller piece, I stamped one of the greetings from Oddball Jane Austen – love this one. Finally, I added some birthday confetti.

That’s all from me today. See you again next week.

Deborah, x
