It's Your Day

Hello! It's Deborah with you today. I hope all you mums out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day last weekend. I shared the cards I made for my mum and mother-in-law last week. This week, I’m sharing the card I made for my aunt – she’s very special to me and I always send a card to her, along with a bouquet of flowers.

I used my new stitched vines card front die to cut a leafy pattern in yellow card, layered the panel onto a black mat and added it to the front of an A2 white notecard. I spritzed a gold tinted shimmer spray over the panel. Sadly, you can't see the wonderful shimmer in the photo!! I used my stamp positioner to stamp the farmhouse wreath, the string and some more flowers on white card. I removed them from the positioner and coloured with Copic markers. I then repositioned the image and stamped again with black ink for a crisp image. I used the matching dies to cut out the images. To make the greeting I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of white card in bold black ink and then trimmed it to size. I cut the flag end by hand – I snipped up the middle of the card and then cut diagonally from the corners to meet the top of the cut – this is a quick, easy way to make a banner. I added the die cut elements and the greeting flat to the card to make this card easy to mail.

I kept the inside of the card simple. I cut a mat layer of yellow card and on the white panel I stamped another sentiment. I finished the inside by adding another flower which I coloured with Copics.

That’s all from me today. See you again soon.

Deborah, x
