Let It Snow
Jen here and today I am batch making cards using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake Backdrop die and Waffle Flowers Label Maker Holiday Stamp set I made a total of 10 cards in less than an hour by using only these products and some icy shades of card stock. Obviously you coul add some gems or glitter embellishments but I wanted to make cards that are easy to post.
I started by selecting 5 colours of card stock from the icy pastel side of the colour palette and cutting them to A2 Card bases and an A2 panel. I then used the die to cut one in each colour and 5 white background before trimming each down slightly.
I mounted the backgrounds on card bases. For the coloured ones I actually did them upside down so they had a different texture - they came out of the die cutting machine clean but to make sure they do you can add a sheet of printer paper between your plate and the die.
I then stamped the sentiments using a stamp positioner and versafine Clair nocture ink. These stamps take a couple of goes but once they have been conditioned they stamp well first time. I like the distressed look of them not stamping perfectly. I cut these out using the matching die.
Finally I added a sentiment to each card in a different location, for the white ones i went near the edge, for the coloured ones i added them to the panel in the middle somewhere.
You could make masses of these really easily to send out in just a couple of hours and make multiples of the same ones.
Thats all from me for today... Have a great Saturday
