Let's get Fruity!

I've been playing with the new Waffle Flower Crafts Oversized Fruit Stencils today and making some zesty wall art for my kitchen....

You get 3 stencils in the pack and you can make a variety of fruit from citrus slices to strawberry's and kiwi and I'm sure others once I get to have another play.  Designed to fill a card front with a big bold design, if you need a card in a hurry then look no further - you can create a bright and vibrant card in under 2 minutes with this stencil set.   Add in the matching dies and you can add more fun details and texture too.  I made this quick card (sentiment yet to be decided) very quickly even with a sore thumb (don't use mandolins without the safety guard if you like your digits in one piece!)

The stencil is designed so it fits the card so is missing the whole "circle" for a citrus slice, but I had a play and discovered you can indeed get a full slice by rotating the stencil (with a bit of a jiggle here and there) - these slices are big - 6 inches in diameter so I thought they would be perfect for a big of inspirational wall art on a citrus theme.   I used a 12 x 12 sheet of white card and set about creating slices of lime, lemon, pink grapefruit and orange and you can see the full details of exactly how it worked on my YouTube video here.

To create the sentiment I used Lawn Fawn's Henry's ABC's alphabet die and cut the letters to spell out my inspirational phrase from cranberry card to keep it all bright and hopeful.   The alphabet die has matching smaller letters in a stamp so its perfect if you want to mix and match sentiments and have one larger word stand out from the rest.

It makes a change to make something to keep rather than just a card to give away so I hope I inspired you to make some art for yourselves too.

NEWS FROM THE STORE

This week we will have the upcoming release from MFT in store on Tuesday.

We are expecting Altenew's latest delivery this week but as yet have no eta.

We still don't have a confirmed date for the Waffle Flower restock delivery but hope it will be soon - keep an eye on our socials or look out for your restock emails as we're pretty sure it's going to sell out again.

Otherwise it will be a quieter week for new arrivals whilst we prepare for Lawn Fawn the week after and the Greetery's next release at the end of the month...

Happy Crafting

Tara
