Love and Poppies

Love and Poppies

I've made a couple of cards to share today using a mix of new and older stash from Reverse Confetti.   First off the new sentiments were perfect to pair with a valentines release stamp from last year that I didn't get around to using in time for V-day.   So I've paired Big Heart Sentiments from the brand new release with Picture Perfect from last year.

Once I'd coloured and die cut the images and die cut the sentiment too, I arranged them over an ink blended die cut using the fabulous Starstruck Cover Panel die which is one of my all time faves.  I added a panel of yellow behind to make the stars stand out.   Perfect for v-day, anniversaries, or just when you're feeling like you want to tell someone you love them!

Next I couldn't resist playing with the brand new Poppies stamp - I adore the art deco feel of them and love how easy the clusters are to stamp quickly making bulk making in different colours a breeze.

Here I stamped 3 clusters using Alenew inks in Fresh Lemon, Maple Yellow and Marigold with the leaves in Concord and 9th Sprout and Altenew Fresh Green.   Once stamped I used the matching die to cut them out.

To create my card I used the new stitched daisies cover panel cut once from white and once from green.  I added the strip of green over the white to arrange my clusters around and stamped a sentiment onto a matching yellow card strip.   The sentiment can be found on Reverse Confetti's Beautiful Balloons stamp.   Quick and easy but very effective birthday card.  You can easily produce a few of these in different colours so you have a stash to hand.

Hope that's sparked your crafty senses.

Catch you on Sunday

Tara
