Masculine Birthday Cards

Masculine Birthday Cards

Hello! Deborah here with you today. I’m still busy making birthday cards and today I’ve a couple of masculine themed cards to share.

First, is a clean, simple card. It’s quick to make too. I used Altenew’s 3D Geo Diamonds embossing folder. I embossed a piece of plain white card and I had planned to add some colour, but I like the simplicity of the design. I trimmed the panel to fit on the front of an UK A6 grey note card. To finish the front, I added a birthday greeting. I stamped ‘happy birthday’ from Altenew’s Just a Number stamp set with two shades of blue ink and used the matching die to cut out the words. I also cut a couple of plain white words, layered them together and added them to the front of the card.

Inside, I cut a piece of white card slightly smaller than the note card. I stamped several birthday greetings on the panel in shades of blue. I think the simple geometric design works perfectly for a guy card.

I used a variety of products for this card. To make the background pattern on the kraft card I used Stencil 2 from Altenew’s Block Stencil set. I used four shades to create the pattern. It’s not perfect, but I like it. I cut a piece of white card to 3” x 4¼” which allows the pattern to show around the edge. I stamped an open birthday greeting in the middle and coloured the letters with Copic markers. I added a dotty pattern and softly blended the inks around the panel. I adhered the completed panel t the front of a white notecard.

Inside, I cut a piece of kraft card for the mat layer. On the white panel I added a fun birthday greeting along with some more dots.

That’s all for today. See you next week.

Deborah, x
