More Christmas Trees

More Christmas Trees

Morning! It’s Deborah here with you today and I’m back to my usual Wednesday slot, albeit a bit late today! I know that I’ve been making Christmas cards all year (never too early to start!). Well, I’ve got some more to share; all made using products from Concord and 9th.

First up is a clean, simple, and sparkly card. I’ve used the sketch from this week’s CAS Colours & Sketches challenge. You all know that I just love the C&9’sturnabout stamps and the new Tiny Trees Turnabout stamp set is no exception. I stamped the turnabout in four shades of green ink on green card. I then trimmed a piece to the shape on the sketch and adhered it to the top of an A2 (US size) card. I finished the front by adding the large ‘falala’ die from Fa La La Fringe Tree Die set. I cut one in silver holographic card and two from plain white and stacked them together and then glued to the card.

Inside the card, I cut a mat layer of green card and on the white panel I stamped two of the smaller greetings from Big On Christmas, along with a tree from the turnabout set.

Next I have another CAS card, and it’s one layer too! I used kraft card to make the note card base. I stamped the Fa La La Fringe Tree directly onto the note card. The tree comes in two parts – one with the bottom and third layer of the tree, and the other with the second and top parts of the tree. I used a stamp positioner to line up the stamps. I stamped first with bright green ink, and then used a brush to add some darker ink to the top of the layers. Next I stamped the baubles in bright red ink, and finally added the five-point star in gold ink. I finished the card with the simple greeting in black ink.

Inside, I added a piece of white card onto which I stamped the other greeting from the Fa La La Fringe Tree stamp set in green, along with some stars in gold.

While I had the Tiny Trees Turnabout stamp in my stamp positioner, I stamped a red and green background directly onto an A2 (US size) card. I finished the front with a the ‘love & joy’ bold greeting from Big On Christmas in black ink. I stamped the greeting three times for a dark black image. Another one-layer card!

Inside, I stamped one of the greetings from Fa La La Fringe Tree stamp set in black and added the stars in gold.

My final card is non-traditional in colour. I used the Fa La La Fringe Tree stamp set, stamped the layers in pink and lilac inks, stamped the star in silver and used the matching Fa La La Fringe Tree die set to cut them out. I also cut out silver holographic baubles and pot for the tree. As well as the layers, I cut a solid tree in white card and adhered the layers to this. I curled the fringe for a little dimension. I adhered the tree, star and pot to the card and finished by adding a greeting from the Tiny Trees Turnabout stamp set.

Inside, I cut a mat layer of lilac card. On the white piece I stamped one of smaller greetings from Big On Christmas and added the small fringe tree to match the front of the card.

I now have 62 Christmas cards ready to go. It’s so nice not having to rush through these cards. That’s all for now. Thanks so much for sticking with me. See you next week.
