Scent With Love - Valentine's Day Card

I'm back today with a cute interactive Valentine's Day card, but you could use this adorable skunk set for any time of the year. How cute are those cuddling skunks?!

So, I used one of my favourite interactive dies from Lawn Fawn, the Shutter Card Die. This die never fails to make people smile when they open it. It's just so clever and simple and fun to put together.

Here's how to make it:

Die cut the main elements using the Shutter Card Die to create the basic mechanism of the card. I keep the colours all the same, but you can play with different colours.
Next, die cut the four panels in coordinating papers and attach them to the card base, two on the front and two inside.
Die-cut the circle from the set for the interactive element on patterned paper; I used pink script paper.
Stamp, colour, and die-cut the little elements from
stamp set. All the elements on my card are from that set, with the exception of the triple hearts, which are from the Scent with Love Add-On set.
Stamp, colour and die-cut two hearts, one with Happy Valentine's Day, the other with 'Scent with love'.
Attach the circle into the middle of the 'reveal' panel, and add the 'Scent with love' heart.
Add all images to the front and inside of the card.
Create the banner using the dies from the set, add the circle and the little 'Happy Valentine's Day' heart. I added the pink circle to a red scalloped circle to finish.
Play with opening and closing the card a few times to make sure the mechanism works. Sometimes, you can have excess glue, in which case, use a bit of talc to remove it, allowing the mechanism to work properly.

This set is not just for Valentine's Day. It's fabulous for weddings, engagements and anniversaries. Just switch the colours out, and you'll make someone's day with a cute surprise when they open the card!
