Shades of Blue

Shades of Blue

Morning! Deborah here with you today. I’ve a clean, simple, one-layer card to share with you today. I’ve been inspired by challenges from Less is More and AAA Cards.

I used masking tape to mask off the top left-hand quarter of the card. I used the chevron stamp from Concord & 9th’s Painted Shapes stamp set and three shades of blue ink to fill in the panel. I did this free hand, it’s very easy to follow along the masking tape and then fill in above. Once I’d done the top corner, I removed and cleaned the masking tape, and used it again to mask off the bottom right-hand corner and repeated the above process. I used a ruler and black marker pen to draw black lines along the edges of the boxes. I finished the front by adding a simple message from Altenew’s Forever Friends stamp set in black ink.

Inside, is equally clean and simple. I added a line of dots at the top in black – they come from Altenew’s Forever Friends stamp set. And I added some more chevrons at the bottom corner.

That’s it from me today. Only one card for a change!! See you next week.

Deborah, x
