'Tis The Season For Snowflakes & Sparkle!

Hello & Happy Thursday.

It’s probably no surprise that I couldn’t resist some of the Waffle Flower winter release. I’m a sucker for snowflakes and the Snowflake Background Stencil was one of them!

I’ve been looking around social media for some different card layout designs and I came across this fun layout on the Gina K feed. It looked a little complicated at first, but in reality its super easy and perfect for backgrounds.

I started with a Midnight top fold card base, 28cm x 10.5 cm, scored and folded at 14cm. I then trimmed a piece of white card to 10cm x 13.5 cm on which I stencilled the snowflake design using a trio of colours, Harbor, Blueberry and Midnight. I then cleaned my stencil and applied some glitter paste over the top.

Once the paste was dry, I temporarily adhered the panel to my card base and simply used my paper trimmer to cut the angle. Then I was able to permanently adhere the decorated panel using double sided tape. As you can see in the photo, the lower section adheres to the inside of the back card base to create this fun flap.

I added a sentiment from Concord & 9th Festive Phrases to a layered rectangle of card and adhered it so it overlaps the angle. Hope you try this fun layout.
