Wild and Magical

Wild and Magical

It's fun to find another use for products which is why I had to have the Peek a Boo Tag toppers from Avery Elle. They are great for embellishing a sentiment, especially when you pair them with alphabet dies as well.... my favourite thing to do :)

For the Wild card I used the cute lion and paired him with Finley's alpha dies and a sentiment from the Peek a Boo Jungle stamp set....

I cut the lion with coloured card and added ink blending around the edges for depth and dimension... the 'die' cuts one piece but you can easily snip them apart so its easy to layer different colours. The wooden panel is created by blending Distress Oxide ink onto a strip of card then overstamping with a wood plank background... it's a perfect backdrop :) The leaves are cut from Waffleflowers Greenery dies and shading added with an alcohol marker.

Now for the Magical card.....

I started by cutting and shading the Unicorn in white and pink card... I found it easier to colour the rainbow hair and added some sparkle to the horn....

I blended lilac ink onto a couple of cloud die cuts then arranged the Tall Alpha die cut letters...... this set is great as you can use it with or without the stamps. To get the dipped silver embossed effect, it's easier to cut from card that you've embossed first... you just have to use masking tape to line your letters up before running them through your die cutting machine.

I added a small pastel rainbow from the Tall Type Tag Along dies and a few sparkles in the background as well as a star to dot the 'i'...... yep I lost the actual dot on my desk somewhere!!

You can certainly have fun with these peek a boo pals on your cards and I think they are great for helping make your sentiment the focal point of the card.

Thanks for stopping by, catch you next week :)
