Winter Wreath

Winter Wreath

I've been combining old and new again for todays winter themed card and the sentiment means it can be used for many occasions too....

I love the Winter Wreath, so delicate and fun to colour too... I've used my Polychrome pencils as the images are small so a sharp point is helpful. I used the coordinating die to cut the wreath out and then cut two more from plain white card to layer up for dimension. I attached the wreath to a white panel of card that has been stamped with the All Lined Up background in pale green ink ... now for the sentiment.

The dies are called Sentiment Starters from The Greetery, I think they're great as they have a selection of words that you can mix and match to make a few different phrases and you can use them with other stamps/alphas from your stash to finish the sentiment. I layered the words up for dimension to match the wreath and did a bit of handy snipping so they could straddle the wreath. Once I had worked out the placement for the sentiment I chose a Winter Songbird to add to the wreath too... he does look cosy all wrapped up in his woolly hat and scarf. I completed the phrase by stamping and heat embossing on a strip of card then attached the panel to a dark green card base.

Thanks for stopping by and sending best wishes for Christmas and the New Year.
