With Love and Roundabouts

With Love and Roundabouts

I really love the Round About Dies from The Greetery - I like that they are "half" a circle so you can get more looks from them - go with a half, or double (or more) to stack them up to get a fuller wreath.  I thought it would be fun to mix the Fall version with the Winter version for a look that says the seasons are changing.  I have to say I'm really pleased with the finished results.

I die cut both twice from kraft card and then used alcohol markers - reds and yellows and browns for fall, and shades of greens with red berries for winter.    I layered the fall over the winter and then blended my background on my cream card with a soft green glow and some splatters of red, green and yellow to pull it all together.

I used one of the centers for my sentiment - again coloured with a marker before embossing a really simple sentiment form the Little Lables Stamp and Die Combo which is one of my go to sets for sentiments these days.  I like cards with generic sentiments in my stash - ready for that unexpected emergency card requirement - "with love" works for lots of ocassions as you can add "on your birthday", "and hugs", "on your engagement" etc on the inside.

I really enjoyed how quickly this came together but looks as though it took ages.  I might play around with breaking the layers up so more winter shows through next time - and hopefully there will be more seasonal versions to come in the future!

We'll have restocks from The Greetery, hopefully by the end of this week.
