A Bowl Full of Comfort

A Bowl Full of Comfort

I've got a fun twist (pardon the pun) on a get well soon card today with a bowl full of comforting pasta - cos who doesn't love a bowl of pasta when they're feeling unwell right?

This was made with the new Lotsa Pasta Turnabout and Lotsa Pasta Die from Concord and 9th.

This is a really fun set to play with - in the die you get a big pasta bowl, a fork and 5 different shapes of pasta.  All you need to do is die cut the dome shape (done in cream on mine to give carbonara vibes) and add that into the bowl before piling on your pasta of choice.  I trimmed the end off the heart on the spaghetti on the fork so I could have it hanging down the side of the bowl.  I used a green marker to add some random dots to look like scattered herbs.

The bowl is two layers to get the inner and outer and then there is a die to add a stripe (or two in my example)

I used the turnabout to create a pasta filled background on my base card - just using two shades of yellow ink rather than 4 different colours to keep it all cohesive.

I used The Greetery's Capsule Basic Dies to create the oval to pop my bowl onto (this die is out of stock but will be back next week with the new release) in co-ordinating colours and finished with the sentiment from the Turnabout stamp which is full of pasta related sentiments.
