Hello & Happy Thursday.
This time last year I was super organised and all over Christmas in July! This year I am way behind and totally off the ball.
However, when I saw the new Concord & 9th Checkered Stencil Pack I instantly saw some fun Christmas backgrounds. And that’s what I have done for my cards today.
I love how the stencil pack contains a wonky check and a straight check providing more creative options.
I started with the wavy check, inking with Cranberry and Evergreen ink. The stencil is super easy to line up too.
I then embellished the card with the Holly Jolly die cut sentiment from Festive Phrases Die. I used Cranberry card to cut the wording and then vellum for the background part. I layered up on a scrap of Parsley card for a little contrast and added some Cranberry Enamel Dots.
For my second card today I used the straight check. This time inking with Wheat and Nutmeg onto a Wheat card panel.
This time I used the Merry Stamp from Festive Phrases Stamp Set and the coordinating die from Festive Phrases Dies.
I finished by layering onto a white card base and adding some Cranberry Enamel Dots to finish.
This stencil set is so fun and I can’t wait to play and ink it up some more.
