It's Lawn Fawn release day and I've managed to make a quick card using one of the new stamps - It's A Bird - which is so cute and lots of fun.
Rick loves to photograph the birds in our garden and we're lucky that our office window is on the second flour with a telephone line straight outside the window where birds often perch, so I thought it would be fun to pair this new stamp with the Power Lines stamp Waffle flower released a couple of years ago.
I used the sketch from our current sketch challenge, flipped on it's side to form the basis for the design, it's mostly a one layer card so I created the background by masking off the mouse, stamping the power lines over the top and the using some strips of post-it tape to create my rectangles (a waffle flower grip mat helps in this process!) before inking in the background. The circle with the birds is meant to be a nod to what the mouse can see in his binocculars so I thought it was a cute idea.
As always with Lawn Fawn releases, we get sell outs, but we're hoping to get restocks much quicker this time around so register your noficiations as quick as you can!
Don't forget to join in with the sketch challenge too - you've just 8 days left to play along!
Happy Crafting
