Birthday Candles

Birthday Candles

Hi, Terri here! Today I am sharing a birthday card that features stencilled candles. I started by stenciling the candles from the Birthday Candles Stencil onto some white 110lb smooth cardstock. I used dye based inks and blending brushes. I chose to have a rainibow of candles, after ink blending the main body of the candle, I then used the same colour to add the detailed pattern. I added grey candles wicks and used yellow and red to blend the flames.

Next I used the Sprinkles Border Die to create some sprinkles below the candles. Behind the sprinkles apperture I added some rainbow paper, I lined the colours of the paper up to match with the candles. I added some glitter glue to the flames of the candle and set the panel aside to dry.

I die cut a panel of diagonal rainbow stripped paper using the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackable Dies and adhered it to a white A2 cardbase. I then used the Scripty Birthday Die to die cut the word "Birthday" from black cardstock and added it to the main panel, below the sprinkles. I then searched my stash to find a stamp set that included the word wishes and stamped it under the die cut sentiment. I added the panel to the cardbase using foam pads.

Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you like this card. Remeber to pop back tomorrow as we always have lots of beautiful inspiration to share.
