Celebrate! with The Greetery Capsule Party Scene

Celebrate! with The Greetery Capsule Party Scene

Hi everyone! It's Natalia here today, back with a fun and colourful birthday card using supplies from the brand-new Fête & Fiesta release from The Greetery.

Boy was this release an absolute beauty. So many items went onto my wishlist, and quite a few more went into my shopping cart!

Among the must-have items in my cart were the much longed for Laid Back Basics sentiments. I absolutely loved this font when it first appeared in the Amour Market release back in January, and immediately pinged Betsy an email with a wishlist of general sentiments in this font with matching outline dies. So I am over the moon about this sentiment set becoming available after several customers reached out with the same request. It's going to feature on many a project in the future and I make no apologies!

And like most of you, I bought a lot of Pretty Picado, but as that flew out despite the very high stock numbers ordered I thought I'd feature one of the other fab additions to the Capsule line-up today: the Capsule Party Scene die and stencil set.

It's such a user-friendly product and perhaps one day I'll try my hand at a tunnel card like the one Betsy showcased in this video.

But for a first outing, I kept things simple...

I started out by cutting the 3 scene dies with the scalloped Capsule Basics die taped to each scene. I love the fact that the scenes nestle perfectly inside the scallop die, taking all the guesswork out of alignment.

Plus, the die cut produced with any of those 3 scenes allows you to easily line up the matching capsule from the Capsule Basics die inside the scalloped die to create the coordinating frame.

So for this card, I cut the 3 scenes from white card plus 4 matching scalloped frames to layer up and add dimension once I'd stencilled the scene dies.

As a backdrop to the party scene, I stamped the Ticker Tape Background stamp on pale plum cardstock and cut it out with the scalloped Capsule die (saving the rest of that Ticker Tape background for another Capsule Party Scene card).

Before assembling all the party scene layers, I found that the It's Your Day sentiment from the Capsule Collection Celebration Borders stamp set nestled perfectly in the space between the balloons at the bottom. So I added that to the background panel before assembling all the layers and adding that fun Celebrate! sentiment from the Laid Back Basics stamp and die set.

Finally, I gave my card base the Sparkler Background treatment with some more tone-on-tone stamping.

I love how this card turned out. It really pops with colour and dimension, and once you've made one, you're going to want to dive right into making another! A fab set for various occasions.

As always, if there's anything featured in my project today that has gone out of stock, and you definitely want to grab, make sure you put in a restock request, so you'll be notified by email when it comes back in.

Until next time, happy crafting!
