Hey, Terri here! Today I have a very different Halloween card to share with you! I've previously done, the usual purple, orange and green, then I did a grayscale and then I did a pink, gold and black card....well today I am creating a vintage monochrome inspired card, using shades of brown.

I started by die cutting a slimline rectangle out of white cardstock using the Large Slimline with Slides Die. I masked off the lower 3rd of the card and placed the circle mask from the Night time Sky Stencils into the top right of the rectangle using repositionable tape. I then added a cloudy sky with the Slimline Cloudy Stencil and a brown ink and blending brush. I added some gold inky splatters and dried it with my heat tool.
I moved the mask to now cover the area that I had just inked, allowing me to add detail to the lower section of the panel with the Cobblestone Stencil. I added a thin piece of kraft cardstock to bridge the join of the two patterns. Using the detail die from the Night time Sky Stencils I added some detail to the moon. To help bring a more muted look to the card I inked around the edges, this creates a moody feel, perfect for Halloween.

I used the Giant Hocus Pocus Die to die cut the sentiment from some sparkly foam sheet. I added this to top of the card on a slight angle. Next I used the Build-A-Potion Bottle Die to create a cute shaker potion bottle. I added some twine around the top and filled it with glitter and little sparkly gems. Next I die cut several books using the Book Collection Die. I used several shades of brown and beige for a monochromatic look.
Now it was time to bring everything together. I adhered the stencilled panel onto a slimline card base and then started to stack the books. I wanted them to be a little wonky! I then added the potion bottle on top of the stack. Lastly I added a puff of smoke which come in the Build-A-Potion Bottle Die, I think this just adds the finishing touch this card needed.
