Whilst I had my pencils out to colour the pigeon the other evening (I like to watch TV and colour to relax) I managed to colour up a second image from Lesia's fab images - this time a cute Maltipoo on a Pillow. I think it's hard sometimes to get a feel for these stamps when there are no coloured examples so I am trying to colour more and go back and grab Lesia's examples when she does them.
I loved this doggy = all dressed in pj's ready for a cuddle. One of my friends has one and she's currently doing some sleep therapy so I thought this was the perfect image to send to her to help her relax.

As before I just stamped onto white card, coloured with pencils (Faber Castel Polychromos) and then fussy cut him - if the little sticky-out bits of fur intimidate you, then stamp again onto whatever base you will layer him and then you can cut them off and it's not noticable ;-) I did just soft colour and used a blending pencil to make it all smooth (Derwent brand).
Once he was done, I just layered him up on some patterned paper - I've been hording a TONNE of pads for years and have never been able to use them as I like them too much but I think I'm getting over myself as I age as I am cutting them up like bilio these days! I added a couple of strips from one pad (using different sheets from one pad usually works well as they've been designed to tonally fit together even if they are very different colours) I cut a small circle using Gummiapan's Old Nesting Circles Dies from a sheet of ombre green from the same pad and then used an alphabet die to cut my sentiment from the same sheet to tie it all together.
That's all for today
Happy Crafting!
