Hi, Terri here! Today I am sharing a Valentines I created combining an older stamp set with 2 die sets from the most recent Lawn Fawn release.
- Creating the Images
Using the Scent With Love Stamp Set I stamped my chosen images onto 110lb super smooth white cardstock using an alcohol friendly ink, I coloured the images with alcohol markers and added white gel pen highlights and then cut them out.
- Making the envelopes
This was my first time using the Little Letter Die Set! I cut the envelopes from 2 colours of cardstock and then ink blended around the edges before glueing them together. I then cut 3 of the letters. I masked the border edge and ink blended the background before adding my stamped and cut images to create 3 little scenes. I allowed images to hang over the edge, this gives them a little more life. I then placed them popping out of the envelopes.
- Making the background
Using the new Lacy Rectangle Stackables Dies I die cut the largest from a teal strippy patterned paper. I then ink blended around the edge before addig it to an A2 white card base.
I added the envelopes to the background panel using a comination of glue and foam pads
- adding the sentiment
I stamped and cut my sentiment from the Scent with Love stamp set. I cut it into 3 sections and added it to the card using foam pads. Having it in sections makes the eye travel around the card, allowing the viewer to take it more design detail.
- embellishing
To embellish the card I added gold inky splatters over the whole background, I then used the mini heart stamp to add some red hearts in the background. I added some glitter glue to the hearts on the envelopes and that was it, or at least I thought it was!
- Decorating the inside
I dont usually do anything more than stamp a sentiment on the inside of my cards but as I had some stamped images left over I decided to carry the deisgn into the inside. I used a small die cut Lacy rectangle panel and added one of the skunk images. I also used the little xoxo stamp to add red hugs and kisses.
