Hey, Terri here! I hope you've had a good week so far. Today I am sharing a sewing themed card. My daughter is a fashion textiles uni student, so as soon as I saw these products I knew I had to have them.
I started by die cutting all of my chosen elements from the Sew Fun Die Set, I cut from white and gold cardstock. I ink blended the sewing machine, thread and fabric using dye based ink and blending bruses. I adhered all the pieces together and added a few white gel pen highlights.
To creste the background, I die cut the Tiny Square Texture Die from 110lb super smooth white cardstock. I then used the Tiny Square Stencil to add the pattern. I used all 3 layers, choosing a different colour for each, but you could choose to use the same colour for all or only use 2 of the stencils.....many choices.
I die cut the smaller Quilted Frames Die from white card and added some vellum to the reverse. I stamped and die cut a sentiment from the Quilted Hugs Sentiments before putting the card together.
I started by adding the stencilled background to an A2 cardbase. I then added the quilted frame, this gave the perfect place for me to add the sewing machine. I placed the fabric die cut on a foam pad, adding a little movement to the fabric by curlling it with a pen. I then placed the scissors and safety pins before adding the sentiment to the top left of the card.
I am so happy with how this card turned out and have lots of ideas for how to use these products in the future.
