Summer is here and I am starting the summer fun on today's card.
This super cute floating cat is from a tiny set by Waffle Flowers and it is called Cheers. You get this set at a really good price point because it's small but it has all what you need for a card: a sweet image and a sentiment.
I stamped the image and coloured it again with watercolours and added details and shadows with pencils. There are coordinating dies available to cut out the image.
In my stash I found a lot of scraps of turquoise cardstock. I chose some to create an ombre effect and cut them down using Mama Elephant's Ocean Waves Trio.
For the sentiment I die cut two pennants using Avery Elle's Dotted Elle-ments. On one of them I stamped Happy Birthday to you! and heat embossed it in white. The sentiment I got from Lawn Fawn's Love Poems.
I didn't want the background to be plain white. So I added a little bit of ink blending through Newton's Nook Bokeh stencil.
And that finished up my card.
