Hello everyone! It's Natalia here today, and it's lovely to be back on the blog at last!
As you may have noticed, I've not been around to share projects recently while away from home, helping with my mum's recovery post-surgery.
But I've finally been reunited with my craft desk, and lo and behold, we've now moved into a new season... Time certainly flies!
I'm not quite ready to put away my summer supplies just yet; in fact, before summer got a little crazy, I bought some lovely summery supplies I still haven't managed to use. Hoping to rectify that soon!
Nevertheless, Autumn is all around, so for my first project back on the blog, I have paired a great set from Concord & 9th with some folksy details from The Greetery.
I already had a colour palette in mind for this card, so I started out by stamping the Pretty Picado Background stamp from The Greetery on C9 Peacock cardstock for a contrasting, folksy background to make my "ghost pumpkins" pop.
Those were all cut from the Pumpkin Prints bundle using C9 cardstock shades, namely:
- Large pumpkin: Nectar, Cayenne, Spiced Cider, Stardust, Peacock, Ivory, Cocoa
- Medium pumpkin: Almond, Cocoa
- Small pumpkin: Shortbread, Espresso
The dies for cutting out the small inlay pieces for the large pumpkin are grouped logically and, of course, can be cut quickly in a smaller machine - always handy!
I trimmed down the Pretty Picado Background to an A2 panel with a die - much easier to get everything centred compared to doing it by eye and added a Pretty Picado Border at the top in C9 Cayenne, with a thin strip of contrasting card at the top and bottom.
Once my pumpkins were in place, I just needed to finish off the card with a pretty matt gold sentiment from the Pumpkin Prints set.
And there we go, card made!
