Hello & Happy Thursday.
I hope you’ve been enjoying the sunshine, it has certainly lifted my spirits even if it is enjoying it just looking out the window while I work.
Today I couldn’t resist using the pretty Waffle Flower Butterfly Background Stencil, its beautifully detailed and I simply love butterflies.
For me, with a beautiful and detailed stencil like this, I like to keep my cards simple as to not draw too much focus away from the design.
I started by inking the stencil with Fig and a little bit of Honeysuckle in a few areas for a soft and pretty look.
I then decided to die cut a butterfly window using Concord & 9th Bold Butterflies Dies and added the thank you sentiment from Delicate Blossoms to a die cut banner, also from the Bold Butterflies Dies. I adhered the die cut panel and sentiment banner with foam adhesive, adding a few Honeysuckle enamel dots to finish.
