I found a couple of spare minutes last night so have knocked out a couple of really quick and easy cards using the new Thinking of You Perfect Pairing Die and the Co-ordinating stamp from Concord and 9th. To begin with I just used the die.
I simply die cut it twice from 300gsm white card stock and layered them up. I then got my pencils out and coloured the floral sprays with those leaving the frame white. [I think if I did it again I'd leave the die cut in the situ and secure with some washi whilst I coloured to keep it more rigid] It's quite easy to follow the shapes to colour without the stamp.
The sentiment is stacked but with a teal layer behind to make a fine shadow to the letters.
For the second card I wanted to show how the stamp pairs with the die too.
I simple die cut it from my favourite green card and then whilst keeping the card whole after cutting, popped in my stamp positioning tool and layed the stamp on top - simply stamping the outline in black. I liked the monochrome look so left it uncoloured and just added a sentiment from the stamp to finish.
It's a stunning release so I may well be back with another option on Sunday if it doesn't sell out before I can use it!
