What's due in August?

Here's a quick run down of what is happening in August.   To those of you who left comments about our emergency closure, it is with sadness that we have to report that Liz, Rick's sister who used to work for us packing your orders a few years back, sadly lost her battle with cancer last week.  We don't yet have a date for the funeral, but you can expect a few more non-working days to come whilst we support family through this difficult time.  Your patience is appreciated.
 

WAFFLE FLOWER CRAFTS

The brand new collection from Waffle Flower Crafts has just gone live stateside so we have also made it live in our store.  This release features a new set of add-ons for the Postage Collage Collection which adds the perfect airmail border to all 5 sizes plus cloudy backgrounds to the main blocks which are perfect to pair with the new fishing and golf silhouette stamps that are included this month too!

There are also large format dies to create big bold golf and fishing cards along with punny sentiments and a brilliant new retirement focussed stamp and die set with some wavy scene building dies to match.   If you want a more generic birthday theme then there are new cupcake and balloon themed sets too.

ALTENEW

Altenew's August collection is released tomorrow in the USA.  Our order is in transit but we don't yet have an ETA - the last tracking scan was in New York on Friday and there's been no update since :(   We hope we'll get it in the next few days and will get it online as quickly as we can.
 

We're not allowed to tell you too much until they make it all available, but this image is their current Facebook page header so in the public realm and it gives you a few good clues!

LAWN FAWN

Lawn Fawn have a brand new fall themed release next Thursday.  In a similar vein to Altenew - we know what's coming but we can't share too much yet as their inspiration week begins tomorrow.  They have shared a sneak peek on their blog today though so again, we can give you a hint.  We got our order today (woo hoo!) so it will be in store at 7am next Thursday.
 

There are no Christmas items in this release - they are now split into Fall and Winter releases so Christmas will be coming in a few weeks!

LESIA ZGHARDA DESIGNS

Lesia has a new release out this month, but with the family issues we missed our slot to order it - we will get it but it will be a little late.  Watch this space for an update! 

GUMMIAPAN

Gummiapan release around 80 new items yesterday!  We have ordered them already but we don't get to order in advance so will always be behind the release date.   Far too many to pop into this email but here's just a few to whet your appetites!  We have lots of restocks coming too and if you want an advent calendar there are just TWO left! 

CONCORD & 9TH

Concord & 9th have their regular 9th of the month release.  They only shared the details with retailers yesterday so again, it is unlikely to be here for release day even though we ordered it as soon as we got the email!   They have already started peeking this month's release so here's what we're allowed to tell you about so far!    

KRISTINA WERNER

Again, Kristina's releases always come with Concord's so they are ordered but won't be here in time.  There is just one post on Insta sharing hints from a couple of sets so far - so here's a peek of what's coming!   The light linen background is perfect for adding just a bit of texture - can't wait for that to arrive!

THE GREETERY

The Greetery don't have a release this month, but there is one coming soon ;-)   However, they are expecting a restock delivery in mid-August so we're planning on a BIG restock order next week.  Get your requests in by Friday if there is something out of stock you want us to include!!!

EU SHIPPING

We've had a few emails from people saying they are in the EU and still manage to get order from XXX or YYY store.  Whilst we are sure there are stores out there who can navigate the rules due to being much larger than us and can therefore absorb the costs of joining the IOSS (International One Stop Shop) we just cannot afford to do it.  We did think there was a way for us to still ship with Royal Mail on a DDU basis and therefore side-step the need to join IOSS, but it turns out that the info Royal Mail supplied in June was incorrect, and we HAVE to join IOSS to use their system.  We will never be able to do that sadly as the costs involved means it would cost us more to send them than we would ever get back in sales so there really is no point from a business point of view as much as we would love to provide the service for our loyal, regular EU buyers.

We are now looking at an alternative courier company who can ship to the EU without us needing to join IOSS.  It is early days but we hope this will be a way for us to open up shipping to this market again.  We will provide more details here once we have all the i's dotted and t's crossed and know for sure that it's a viable option when the rules change again in November.
