Things are finally settling down a little so we're not doing back to back 12 hour days 7 days a week, so I've managed to get a little crafting time to make something with the new stash we got from Pinkfresh Studio. If you've been reading our blogs for a while, then you'll know I love reading as well as crafting, and have a bookclub at my house every month. So I love book themed products to make cards for them with.
So it's probably no surprise that I jumped on the new Tree of Tales Die and Colouring Stencils - I do love a Christmas tree set too so these are the perfect combo for my tastes!
If you've never tried Pinkfresh as a brand (and I put my hand up here as I hadn't until we got them in store) then their matching dies and stencils are GENIUS - as they have little triangles which make lining up the layers easier than any other brand I've used to date!!! Just make sure all 3 triangles are directly on top of each other on each layer of the stencil - colouring them in on the first layer (I stencilled first in this project) then line the dies over the triangles at the end and you will get the perfect alignment (NB - I missed a triangle on my second layer so one of mine is a bit out)
I opted for all different shades of greens to keep the tree very tree like but you can add more colour. (I did add some yellows for the star and globe base) I wanted to stick to traditional red and greens for Christmas on this first one (I will be making a LOT of these lol!) so just popped it on a red snowflake background (old Lawn Fawn Snow Day remix pad) and added a sentiment from the coordinating sentiment set Once Upon A Holiday which is packed with bookish holiday sentiments.
If you normally read my posts for news of what is coming to store - we now have a dedicated news blog - so head over there to read the latest update!
Happy Crafting!
