Now if you know me, you know my go to colours are teals and lime greens (like our logo) but I surprised myself when I got the new colour range from Concord and 9th this week as the colour I wanted to test out first was a pink! I am normally not a pink fan but this soft dusky shade called Briar Rose really called to me so I've made a card using that as the main focus with hints of black and gold.
I've been itching to get my hands on the Fashion Shoppe stamp and die set, mostly because I wanted to make a crystal chadellier so this was the jumping off point for my card. (Unfortunately the poor light today isn't doing the sparkle any justice on my photo!) I decided to have just one dress form under the chadellier and I picked that out in black with some purple crystals and the same on the shoes. I did the legs of the dress form in gold to match the chadellier. I popped them all on a panel of briar rose card and stamped the setiment in the same ink shade using my new cubes. To create the panel I actually used a very old, but favourite, Rectangle Peek A Boo die from MFT stamps and used the partial die cutting technique to lengthen the opening - I thought the stitched details added to the classy feel and looked like an expensive Parisian window display.
Hope I've inspired you to go classy.....
