Hello! I’m running late today – it’s been a rough couple of days, feeling very tired from the chemo. However, I’ve woken full of energy today and thought I’d better make a birthday card for my hubby:
The inspiration for this card come from the new challenge at Color Throwdown – I love the geometric cushion. And it works perfectly with my new Concord & 9th Geometric Quilt Top Dies. I used the large die to cut a piece of white card and cut in the pattern. Next I took the smaller diagonal and triangle dies and cut pieces from white, navy and gold card stock. I spent some time working out the pattern I wanted and glued the pieces in place. I added the finished panel to the front of an A2 white note card. I finished the front with a simple birthday greeting in gold embossing and navy ink.
Inside the card, I cut a mat layer of navy card and on the white panel stamped a birthday greeting in navy and warm gold inks.
That’s all from me today. Sorry, I was late. See you next week.
