As August draws to a closse, I thought it was about time that I started on the Christmas Cards. I knew that I wanted to make a christmas scene using the Platform Pop Up Die and Platform Pop Up add on die set from Lawn Fawn.
I wanted it feel like a cute winter village scene, with snow, trees and children playing, so I reached for lots of my favorite Lawn Fawn products. I cut the platform pop up from some patterened paper and the add on from Neenah Solar Crest.
I added Peacock Feathers, Uncharterd Mariner, Villanous Potion and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks to the add on die cut. I then spritzed with water and dried with a heat tool. This helps to soften and blend the colors. I then added some silver inky splatters to the night sky.
I stamped, cut and coloured the large tree from the Merry Mice Stamp Set and Matching Die Set. I then stamped, cut and coloured several building, trees, street lights, a moon and a shooting star from the Winter Village stamp Set.
I used the Tiny Winter Friends Stamp Set and Matching Die Set to stamp and cut the Little boy and Girl, Snowman, Sled and Presents. I added all of the elements to the Platform Pop up using a strong wet glue.
All images had white gel pen highlights added and the trees had Prisma Glitter and Chunky Glitter. I then heat embossed my chosen sentiment onto a die cut from the Platform pop up set and adhered it to the front of the platform.
