Hi everyone!
At long last it finally feels like summer is making a proper appearance here in my neck of the woods.
One of the things I love about this time of year is the smell of the garden, especially in the early evening after the heat of a sunny day. And one of those lovely lingering fragrances is Honeysuckle.
I've created a relatively clean and simple card featuring the Honeysuckle Stems set from The Greetery and a few other details.
This set contains three large stems with 4 layering steps for the flowers and 2 steps for the leafy stems.
As always, there is a layering guide included with the stamp set and colour suggestions for each step.
Once I'd cut and stamped the stems, I used the twine bow in the Fit to Be Tied die set to create the bouquet.
I applied a light blue watercolour wash to the background of my card, and while it was drying I grabbed the Opposites Attract stamp and die sets to create a simple greeting for my card.
I used the same dark shade of pink for the bold sentiment as I'd used for the honeysuckle to add a bit more colour to the mix.
Finally, once everything was stuck down, I added a few pearlescent ivory sequins for some subtle bling.
Now all we need is for the summery weather to stick around a bit!
Until next time, happy crafting!
