Today I have not only one but three cards to share.
I don’t know about you but over here in Germany we are in the second Lockdown. And it is winter and grey and cold. So, anybody could need a little pick up. The right time to send out handmade cards. My Favorite Things’ Hug it Out set is just the right set for this kind of cards.
I started by stamping the images I wanted to use on water colour cardstock. Actually, I stamped out a lot of images from a few sets to create a little page of a colour book for me. I like to do this when I have a little more time on hand.
I coloured the images with water colour and added some details and shadows with pencils – as I do most of the time.
For the background I ink blended different shades of Distress Oxides on my panel. I also used Newton’s Nook’s Bokeh Stencil Set.
I gave the critters a stripe of dark grey cardstock to sit on. On this stripe I heat embossed the word Sending in white. The word die Hugs came from Mama Elephant’s Framed Tags: Hug it Out.
